Skin quality,
not just volume.

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that work beneath the surface to deeply hydrate, repair and regenerate the skin. Unlike dermal fillers which add volume and structure, skin boosters improve the quality of your skin itself — radiance, texture, elasticity and tone.

The range available at The Face Lab includes hyaluronic acid boosters like Profhilo, and polynucleotide (PN) treatments such as Plinest, Nucleofill and Vitaran — each with a slightly different mechanism and result. Becci will guide you through the options at your free consultation.

Skin boosters work progressively — a course of treatments produces the best and longest-lasting results, which is why Becci offers significant savings on courses.

Skin booster FAQs

What are skin boosters? +

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deeply hydrate and regenerate the skin from within. Unlike fillers, they don't add volume — instead they stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality, texture, glow and elasticity.

What's the difference between Profhilo and polynucleotides? +

Profhilo is a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid that bio-remodels the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin. Polynucleotides (Plinest, Nucleofill, Vitaran) are DNA-based molecules that repair and regenerate cells at a deeper level. Both improve skin quality but work differently — Becci will advise which is best for your skin during your free consultation.

How many sessions do I need? +

Skin boosters work progressively — most benefit from a course of 2–4 sessions for the best and longest-lasting results. Becci offers discounted course pricing to make this as accessible as possible. She'll recommend the right number of sessions based on your skin and goals.

How long do results last? +

Results vary by treatment and individual. Profhilo typically lasts around 6 months before a top-up is needed. Polynucleotide courses can produce longer-lasting skin improvements. Maintenance sessions help sustain and build on results over time.

Is there any downtime? +

Downtime is minimal. You may experience some light redness or small bumps at injection sites immediately after treatment — these typically settle within 24–48 hours. Most clients return to normal activities straight away.

What's the difference between skin boosters and dermal fillers? +

Dermal fillers add volume and structure to specific areas. Skin boosters work across a wider area to improve overall skin quality — hydrating, regenerating and stimulating collagen without changing the shape or structure of the face.
