How microneedling works
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses a device with fine, sterile needles to create thousands of micro-channels in the skin. This controlled micro-injury triggers the body’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.

All new clients start with a free consultation. Becci will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and recommend the right treatment approach, whether that's a single session, a combo treatment or a course.
Skin Prep
A full cleanse, steam, extractions and exfoliation to get the skin ready and open. No numbing cream is used, so there is no half-hour wait before you start.
Treatment
Becci performs the microneedling using a medical-grade device, working systematically across the skin. Any serums are infused directly into the micro-channels for maximum absorption.
Mask, LED & Aftercare
The treatment finishes with a mask and LED light. You'll leave with full written aftercare instructions and can expect some redness for 24–48 hours. Becci is on hand if you have any questions, and will assess your results at your next session or review.

How much does microneedling cost?
Microneedling with hyaluronic acid is £75 at The Face Lab, or £85 with a targeted serum chosen for your skin. BioRePeel combined with microneedling is £100, and a course of three is £210. Prices are the same at the Lytham St Annes and Leigh studios.
Where can I get microneedling near me?
The Face Lab has two private studios. The Lytham St Annes studio (FY8 1BQ) is convenient for St Annes, Blackpool, Kirkham, Preston and the wider Fylde Coast. The Leigh studio (WN7 2EH) is convenient for Wigan, Bolton, Warrington and Greater Manchester. Both are treated by Becci personally, and prices are the same at each.
What does microneedling treat?
Microneedling is effective for acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, fine lines and early wrinkles, dull or tired-looking skin, and overall skin rejuvenation. It works by triggering the skin's natural collagen and elastin production through controlled micro-injuries.
What does the appointment include?
More than the needling itself. Becci runs it as a full facial: a cleanse, steam, extractions and exfoliation to prep the skin, then the microneedling, finishing with a mask and LED light. That is why it takes a full hour, and it is included in the treatment price rather than charged as an add-on.
Does microneedling hurt?
Becci does not use numbing cream. Most clients experience a mild scratching or warm sensation during the procedure and find it far more comfortable than they expected. If you are worried about it, say so at your consultation and Becci will talk you through what to expect.
How many sessions will I need?
For general skin improvement or mild texture concerns, a single session can produce a noticeable result. For acne scarring or significant skin concerns, a course of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is strongly recommended. Becci will advise the right plan for you during your free consultation.
When will I see results?
Initial results can be seen within a few days as redness subsides and skin begins to renew. The full collagen response develops over 4–8 weeks after each session, with the most noticeable improvements seen after completing a full course of treatments.
What is the downtime?
Expect redness and mild sensitivity for 24–48 hours after treatment, similar to mild sunburn. Most clients return to normal activities the following day. Becci will provide detailed aftercare advice including sun protection guidelines and what products to avoid in the first 24 hours.
Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?
Yes, microneedling pairs particularly well with BioRePeel for enhanced exfoliation and regeneration (available at £100), or with a targeted serum infused directly during treatment for specific concerns like brightening or scar repair (£85). Becci will recommend the best combination for your skin.
